Please, if you can't be helpful, don't reply at all. We all have to learn
somehow, and the best way to show your knowledge is to share it generously.

Tony.

Trafalgar: Easterly 6 to gale 8 in southeast, otherwise mainly
northeasterly 4 to 6. Moderate or rough. Thundery showers. Good,
occasionally moderate.

Please lets not react to one aggression with yet another aggression. I think all has been said on this topic, so if everyone could refrain from piling more emails on this topic I would be very much delighted.

Thanks,
Ondřej

Make sure that the launchd plist for bind is pointing to the correct location of named. (probably /usr/local/opt/bind/sbin judging from the screen shot)

If the previous version was installed as part of Mac OS Server, or MacPorts, for example that binary will live somewhere other than /usr/local.

Bruce, indeed the named is in /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/sbin/named.

Indeed, named is in /usr/local/opt/bind/sbin. How can I “make sure that the launchd plist” is pointing to /usr/local/opt/bind/sbin?

Indeed again, the previous BIND, which is 9.9.7-P3, was installed as part of Mac OS Server.

Thank you, Paul
